Honorary Organist Aldershot Army & Navy Lodge 2004 - 2021

Honorary Organist of the Aldershot Army & Navy Lodge for the last 18 years, without doubt Skip lived life respected and died regretted. Skips music enhanced the Lodge Meetings and Festive Boards; Opening Odes, solemn interlude music, jaunty regimental marches, hilariously jolly Christmas carols at the Festive Boards his positive and happy spirit brought much joy. A musician from an early age he joined the 2nd Bn Parachute Regimentin 1951 as a boy musician clarinettist. He saw service in Egypt, Bahrein, Malta, N Ireland,studied at the Army School of Music Kneller Hall, eventually retiring as a Band Sergeant Major. He formed his own Dance Band and became well known in the London music circles for his musical accomplishments. Initiated into Woolmer Lodge in 1973, he became a committed Mason, not only in the Craft, but in Royal Arch, Mark Degree and RAM, acting as Honorary Organists for a number of Lodges and Chapters. His music, positive spirit and commitment to Masonry an example to all.
